How Well Do Car Alarm Systems Work

The system is programmed to make a high-pitched noise every time someone attempts to get the car open, or even if someone is too close to the car. This has been designed to scare and deter thieves from stealing your car. But how well does these devices work? Do they work? When car alarms were first sold to the public, they were very popular and were installed in vehicles right away.

But after some time, consumers started really disliking them. One of the biggest problems with car alarms is they disturb the public. A dog or cat can go near it and set it off, not to mention the vibration from a loud vehicle going near by. Now imagine what happens when people leave their cars at home while they are out on vacation or what have you, these cars are just going off for no reason. And this is only one way these alarms aren't that helpful.

Did you know, it's estimated that false alarms happen about 95 percent of the time. That means, there's a very small chance you'll actually be using your loud sounding alarm to catch a criminal. These alarms are so loud, they are audible from behind closed doors and windows! Now imagine all the false alarms people have to deal with every day, maybe even you!

Think about this, when 95 percent of these alarms are false, it's no wonder that nobody is too concerned with their car when the alarm goes off. Did you realize that according to recent studies, only 1% of all people call the police as a result of car alarms. And again, that's because most people are assuming it's yet another false alarm. Do you really consider that effective security? Think about it, it's not really as effective as people make it seem.

If you are thinking about security for your car, maybe you should look into things besides car alarms. Car alarms vary in price, but remember that you get what you pay for. Not to mention, you should go to a reputable person to install it, because there are people out there who install your alarm with security holes so they can take advantage of them and steal your car down the line.

One last note if you have a whole bunch of sound system sticker advertisement or something of the nature, don't bother with a security system. Why, because no security system will prevent you stuff from being stolen within your car.

Python Alarm 2-WAY Remote Wont Work?

I have a Python Alarm w/ Remote Start. I can still lock/unlock, arm/disarm my truck, BUT, the image on my remote will not change, nor will i get a confirmation from the remote such as a chirp saying it has locked or unlocked. I can still remote start it and everything.

The wireless Rx symbol on the remote still flashes, but when I arm my car, it shows that the connection with the alarm couldnt be reached. Also, when I disarm my car, my LED indicator will blink 3 times?

Can anyone please give me some info on ways of troubleshooting this problem? Either by offering your solustions, or directing me towards an online manual? Thanks in advance for your help.

Car alarm won’t work

I have a Python (FCC: EZSDEI475) remote start/keyless entry/alarm for my Honda Accord 97' LX. I can use keyless entry, remote start and sound off the distress sound but the alarm won't start. Normally when I lock my car using the remote, the alarm should set on with a beep. And when I unlock the alarm should set off with a beep. However, it no longer does that. What may be wrong and how can i fix it?

What do i need for the Python 1090 Car Alarm Security and Remote Start System to Fully Work?

I heard that you need to buy the remote start separetely and the motion sensor also...
