I want to set it when I know I have the keys in my hand. I have locked them in the car twice because I got out for a minute and the doors locked. One time the engine was still running.

I drive a 2004 Sunfire, the remote will unlock my doors as well as attempt to start the car; the engine turns over fine but then the car shuts itself off. If the key is in the ignition and I press the remote start button the engine will start. Anyone have any ideas it seems like a pretty simple problem, I checked to make sure the switch under the steering column is on.
