The reason the amount of car thefts is rising is because the car alarms are so common nobody cares for them anymore.

I have a Python 872 alarm in my Grand Cherokee. I've had it for 2 months now with no issues. Recently the alarm has been going off randomly but ONLY when I'm at home. It does not do this at my work or at the store... when I get in, the LED blinks 4 times; manual says "instant trigger for optional sensors". What the heck is going on?

The alarm on my car has been going off randomly for no apparent reason for about a week now. It seemed to start as soon as it started to get colder. I already pulled the fuse that was labeled anti-theft but its still doing it. Does anyone know how to disconnect the alarm? Thanks.

I bought a python 881 xp from circuit city and was told i need several wires due to my car having chips in the keys, and a keyless entry system. Was I being taken advantage of?

The car alarm is an aftermarket Prestige model (it has a valet switch). The valet switch didn't stop it from sounding last time I removed the battery cable.

I remember before the alarm worked once or twice. I know the keyless code to enter in the car. But when I lock the car, the alarm doesnt turn on if I open the car without setting the alarm off?

How can I configure the alarm to be active?

Python EZSDE1487..someone help me...the car wont start and wen i lock the doors it dosent chirp all that happens is the LED light stays on n thats it.

I just bought a 1999 cougar and i have been driving it around a while. I went to the parking lot the other day and the Python alarm system was going and i could not turn it off. I got in the car and started it up and it was still going. It goes off when i drive and when it's parked! It just won't stop. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
The horn stops but the hazard lights keep flashing. About 2 minutes after the horn stops it starts right back up again. Also, The automatic door lock has also been disabled because the alarm is going off so i can't lock or unlock it without the key. After i unlock it with the key the alarm goes off again. gah...

So I got drunk last night and lost the keys to my car - not a huge problem in itself as I have a spare. The problem is that I don't have a second remote to turn off the car alarm. It's an after market alarm that I didn't put on (bought the car used) and all I know is it's made by autostart, it's just one-way and I think it's pretty much just a shock sensor. Can I cut the cable to the battery to kill the alarm and then drive the car home? Or how can I solve this problem - I need to move my car by monday or I'm gonna start getting parking tickets. Please help I don't know how I'm gonna work this because I can't drive home with the alarm going the whole way.
