My Python car alarm system locks/unlocks but is silent?

But when I try to unlock it, I usually end up having to push it several times. So I dont think I just accidentally turned it on silent? When I hold down the lock button the alarm will go off though..

Sounds like there is a malfunction. Best bet is to take it to someone who knows how to service one.
