if you buy a remote start/car alarm system, do you have to hook up the alarm part?

    not really but its there so just hook it and y buy the combo if ur not onna use it or try to find just a remote start all by its self

    You will not have to connect the alarm portion of your system. Simply leave the siren out of the installation, and you will also not need to connect the door/trunk trigger wires for the alarm funtions. Every system is a little different, so there may be other wires that you can leave out of the installation, but the answer to your question is NO.
