1998 altima nissan starting problems due to alarm?

When I purchased my 98 Altima GXE, they never gave me any remotes for the manufacturers alarm. I started to notice that very often, I would turn the key and just hear a click. The car would not start. Then I would do all sorts of things like lock & unlock the doors, tap the brake or open and close the door. Usually after a few minutes the car would start. I talked with someone who told me I would need to get an after-market alam installed to override the manufacturers. Therefore, I got a Python alarm system installed ($199) at Circuit City. Well to my surprise, the same problem exist. Is there a way to really fix this? Could a wire be loose on the starter or ignition? Has anyone had a similar problem? I'm totally lost. By the way, I have two keys for the car. One is a factory Nissan key, and the other is a copy made at a local hardware store. The problem exists with BOTH keys. Do I need to order new keys from the dealer? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How do you disable a aftermarket car alarm?

The alarm in my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee goes off when I unlock the drivers side door and open it. I haven't even owned the Jeep more then a year so I don't know everything about the alarm. It usually just shuts off when you unlock the door. I tried turning the car on but it shuts off right away and I couldn't find a switch under the dash. I really don't want the alarm anymore, I just wanna be able to get into my car with no problem.

Car alarm installation question?

Hi,
I have an old van that I'd like to hook a Python 660XP to, however, the doors do NOT trigger the dome lights. The lights are functional by switch only.
Does anyone have any alternate methods of triggering the doors without using the standard dome light method?

Thanks!

Sorry, but car audio was the closest category I could find....
(Oh, and I know how to use Google, so please don't embarrass yourselves by "answering" with that.....)

Python Alarm 2-WAY Remote Wont Work?

I have a Python Alarm w/ Remote Start. I can still lock/unlock, arm/disarm my truck, BUT, the image on my remote will not change, nor will i get a confirmation from the remote such as a chirp saying it has locked or unlocked. I can still remote start it and everything.

The wireless Rx symbol on the remote still flashes, but when I arm my car, it shows that the connection with the alarm couldnt be reached. Also, when I disarm my car, my LED indicator will blink 3 times?

Can anyone please give me some info on ways of troubleshooting this problem? Either by offering your solustions, or directing me towards an online manual? Thanks in advance for your help.
