Car alarm installation question?
Hi,
I have an old van that I'd like to hook a Python 660XP to, however, the doors do NOT trigger the dome lights. The lights are functional by switch only.
Does anyone have any alternate methods of triggering the doors without using the standard dome light method?
Thanks!
Sorry, but car audio was the closest category I could find....
(Oh, and I know how to use Google, so please don't embarrass yourselves by "answering" with that.....)
you can drill holes into the body of the vehicle and put in pinswitches that send a ground back t the alarm brain
If there are no door pins to trigger the light, you need switches. I prefer magnetic switches because they hold up longer. You will find that the side door and back door work better with the magnetic ones also. You might need to diode isolate the triggers. Check the install manual about that.
